Sony has launched a number of new products for 2009.

The company showcased a new wireless BRAVIA LCD TV, Handycam camcorder, car audio range, walkman MP3 players and VAIO P ‘Pocket style PC’ at a media launch this week.

According to Jun Yoon, channel marketing manager for VAIO at Sony Australia, the eight inch notebook is small enough to fit into your pocket and has instant email and net access.

“The VAIO P series will curve out a class all of its own,” said Yoon.

“It will appeal to the style conscious user who is not willing to compromise on having the latest technology.”

The VAIO P weighs about 620g and comes in red, green, black and white. It has a full flat surface, screwless bottom, and is based on Windows Vista with built in webcam, wireless and Bluetooth.

The other devices are the ZX1 and EX1 LCD TV, nine new high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) camcorders, all available in March.

The MEX-BT4750U and CDX-GT680UI car audio units have USB AND iPod connection and the Walkman X series feature OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) on a 3-inch touch screen display while the Walkman W series is a cord-free MP3 player, available in March and April respectively.
