New signings taking approximately 11300 sq ft of retail space between them at the development in Cambridge.

Three of the latest signings – LK Bennett, Fraser Hart and Swarovski – are new to Cambridge. They are joined by Warehouse and Phase Eight who already have a presence in the city. Other recent signings include Coast, Links, G Star and Thomas Sabo.

Grand Arcade opens its doors on 27 March.

Confirmation of the new signings follows a strong Christmas for Cambridge traders, bucking the national trend for retail slowdown. Sales over the Christmas period at the Grand Arcade anchor John Lewis, which opened in November, were a third higher than predicted and the demand for high quality goods is such that the store is stocking many brands normally only sold through their West-end stores.

Neil Barber, Head of Retail Leasing at Grosvenor, said “The recent strong trading of Cambridge retailers and the strength of our new retail signings predict a bright future for the Grand Arcade. The quality of the names attracted to the development and the fact that many are new to Cambridge is testament to the potential offered by the city’s retail market. In addition to those just announced we also have a significant number of high- quality deals in solicitors hands which we expect to complete very soon. The opening of Grand Arcade will bring the city’s shoppers West end-style to their doorstep.” Other occupiers confirmed in the scheme’s broad retail and leisure mix include Carluccios, Costa Coffee, Hugo Boss, Jane Norman, River Island, Ted Baker, Wallis, Topshop and Topman.
