Retail Business show set for record turn-out
on February 2nd, 2008 at 2:49 pmAdvanced registrations for The Retail Business Show (February 5-6) indicate that visitors to the show will surpass the previous two years.
Combined this increase with the quality of exhibitors and the calibre of the speaker programme and workshop itinerary, and the show promises to be one of the highlights of the 2008 retail calendar.
Taking place in the National Hall in London’s Olympia, The Retail Business Show will showcase innovative business solutions, address industry issues and look at new industry developments for the modern multi-channel retailer.
Exhibitors will include business solutions for the modern multi-channel retailer including full e-commerce platforms to email, merchandising, security solutions, rich media, payment processing and fulfilment services.
PayOffline will be demonstrating how its new secure payments system aims to open up e-commerce to the five million people in Britain who do not have a bank account, whilst Barclaycard Business will be showcasing its OneTouch contactless technology which enables customers to pay for transactions for £10 and under at retailers using cards such as the Barclaycard OnePulse.
Casio will be exhibiting its new DT-X7 Handheld Terminal with Laser Scanner developed using human-centred design methods to improve operability. Musion will be demonstrating its revolutionary Eyeliner™ Foil, a 3D projection system allowing 3D objects or human, animations or filming, to appear on a live stage setting.
Software solutions’ exhibitors will include K3, VCTIMELESS, Itim and Anabas who will exhibit solutions for integrated retail solutions, retail management software to manage historical data, sales and demand forecasting, and EFTPOS and card processing respectively.
Along with the four speaker theatres focussing on Multi-Channel Retailing, Internet Retailing, Retail Fraud and M-Tailing, there will be four pavilions, sponsored by Microsoft, NCR, Oracle and Vendorcom, where visitors can book appointments with businesses represented within each site. The Vendorcom pavilion will also host two conferences repeated on both days, entitled PCI DSS and Payment Security, and Contactless Payment Conference.
The workshops will be hosted by Mercado Software, Tealeaf and Custom Communication. Themes will be Searchandising 2.0 – Increasing Conversion Rates for Online Retailers Using Improved Search and Merchandising, Converting Hits to Sales: A Better Online View, and How Social Media is Shaping Brand Reputation and Online Marketing in Retail.
