FASHION store Gap has warned customers about false money-off vouchers offering a 60 per cent pre-Christmas discount. The chain’s genuine vouchers knock just 30 per cent off.
A Gap spokeswoman said genuine vouchers had been e-mailed to the chain’s business associates, plus friends and family, but customers have been turning up at Gap stores with copies of the fake version.

The retailer will honour the intended 30 per cent discount for customers who present the faked version.

She said: “We are disappointed that it has been abused in this way.”

The voucher appears to have been printed out, altered and then re-scanned.
