India : ‘Power of One’ proceeds for Save The Children India
on November 22nd, 2007 at 9:18 amBig Bazaar, the flagship hypermarket format of Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited, launched a unique initiative “Power Of One” in association with Save The Children India, on the occasion of Children’s Day.The campaign will be supported by many film stars and celebrities over the next couple of months, with Sanjay Dutt being the first film start supporting the launch campaign.
‘Power Of One’ is aimed at serving children from the marginalized sections of the society. The campaign will appeal its customers to contribute Re 1 to the fund. Big Bazaar, on its part will make a matching contribution to the amount collected from donors. The proceeds will be given to Save The Children India. The ‘Power Of One’ campaign is first launched in Mumbai across all its six Big Bazaar stores and will be progressively rolled out across over 75 stores in 48 cities which are expected to attract 150 million customers during this year. Says Rajan Malhotra, CEO, Big Bazaar-Pantaloon Retail(I) Ltd, “As a corporate citizen, we at Big Bazaar believe that the Power Of One can bring joy, happiness, smile and make the difference in the lives of the marginalized children and women.
