The Infinity Retail System offers 100% uptime at the POS. Each register runs completley independent of the network, and our patented Linker technology updates the server every 15 seconds, giving you virtual real-time data, without relying on the network. If the network goes down, the registers continue to run and when the network is back up, they will automatically communicate with the server. All of this is done without any user intervention.
Great post. Although 15 seconds seems a bit long, this technology is moving in an interesting direction.
Infinity allows 6 seconds minimum, 15 is the default.
The way it works is that each machine can have it’s own database and links transactions, inventory, config and customers. It also allows thin client connections to the SQL database server.
Really this is a great product.
