Very good point. We often forget the other side of the “fast food/Walmart blight”; and that is that inexpensive stuff is available for people if they need it, and when it comes to the basics (food, shelter, clothes, etc.), and our struggling economy, I think that should be held in high importance.

I saw a commercial for Wal-Mart the other night advertising just the “dollar menu” that you are referring to, and they are indeed taking the idea from fast food restaurants like Mc Donalds. The ironic thing is that most Wal-Marts have a Mc Donalds inside of them already… so i suppose, in a way, they can’t lose…..
